Tell us a little about yourself:
Hii there! I am Jupiitermakes, I always been a crafty person. I used to draw back in high school and now I crochet plushies. I love to be hands on and learn new things that sparks my interest. I play games sometimes that being Tekken 8, collect figures and trinkets. my favorite Sanrio character is pochacco.
When did you start crafting and how?
I got into it originally in Jan 2023 after seeing it on tiktok for the first time, but I worked full time at the the time so I never made progress. It wasn’t until I got laid off sadly and didnt had nothing else to do during the time so in March 2023 thats when I officially picked up the hobby again. I’ve been crocheting close to 3 years now !!
And how did you start designing?
I started designing when my mom asked me to make a pineapple and I didnt like any of the patterns at the time ( as I was 2 months into crocheting ) so I freehanded my own.
Do you have a favorite craft type and if so - why?:
Crochet ofc ! Specifically amigurumi. it makes me feel really creative and as an avid plushie collector myself, it was meant to be !
What was the most memorable project you worked on?
Poliwhirl as that was my first paid pattern that made me go into more of my skills into pattern writing, basically setting the foundation.
What are you currently working on? Be honest - how many WIP do you have right now?
I have 3 wips as writing this haha. I have a cinnamon roll turtle, boots, and a heart jelly cat
What inspires you to create/design?
usually characters and anything unique + adorable to hopefully find others who feel the same way !!
Which of your makes/designs are you most proud of? Share a picture!
most proud of my fruit penguins !!
What is your usual process of designing?:
I usually try to have my sister draw out the idea ( my fruit penguins for example ) and look up if anyone else has done it. Then I crochet it, I write everything in my notebook. I usually try to get it right the first times, maybe 2 then take pictures for the final.
What is your favorite feature on Ribblr?
definitely has to be Ribbuild !!
