Even if this is my third post today, I have a great idea @Ribblr
There could be ribblr widgets to remind us to log in, remind us what day it is or even just be there for decoration!
Here is what im thinking:

I love this idea!!!
I don’t think this is needed, honestly
Same Sasha
It’s already an app why does it need to be a widge?
its nlt like the whole app is turning into a widget it can have a widget
Yeah!
Ok
I do get that and not to sound rude
I think they are the same exact thing
I mean they both open the app and have the same funcrion
I would MUCH rather have a widget set up than push notifications. Wigets are much more passive and likely to be accessed when I have a few minutes to spare (push notifications always seem to have the worst timing lol).
Wigets work as passive notifications - many people either turn push notifications off altogether or use productivity apps that block them. Plus, with a widget, you can see your notifications without opening the app.
Lowk love this idea!!
Honestly, I would LOVE a widget that just reminds me to feed Ribbot every day lol. My schedule is a bit crazy sometimes, so I forget when I have and haven’t fed him.
When you open Ribblr it says that
Truth be told, The only time I really open Ribblr on my phone is to reply to my friends in our GC, or to check my shop when I’m not at home as it is my least preferred method of accessing it. If I’m at home I am using my PC or my Tablet, in which case the reminder for feeding him I have only seen a scant amount of times. Which is why having something on my phone that I can tap, feed him, and move on would be beneficial for me.
Not only that but the widget itself is a benefit to the company. Feeding Ribbot is a way to gamify their discounts. There is an entire psychology behind the gamification of ads, as they trigger your brain’s reward system thus leveraging the natural desire our brains have to seek achievements. Having a cute widget a user sees daily on their phone’s home screen only provides a better avenue to access the feature, particularly for those like myself who may not log in daily due to a hectic schedule due to work, children, home life etc. This not only helps the company grow from those who spin and get a discount who then purchase a premium sub, but also for the users as well because they will have more chances to spin the wheel for a chance to win the prizes since this will act as a secondary, albeit aesthetic, “in your face” reminder. (this was mostly directed at Ribblr btw)
That, and the Ribbot frog is adorable, why wouldn’t I want to see his little face being all happy and full from being fed, or a silly illustration of him being hungry when it is time to feed him again? At the very least it would give me a little giggle, which is still a win in my book, because I know there are some days when a little giggle can be hard to come by.
Thanks for sharing! Our team will look into it ![]()
