Ribbot emojis delete text during editing

For some reason after I edit my messages in gen chat to include the new ribbot emojis, the text I added next to it disappears. for example if I say:

‘aww it’s so cute :)’

when I add the ribbot emoji, it turns into:

‘:starry-eyed-ribbot-tight: ‘

this only happens in gen chat, not dms (I tried dm-ing myself to try and recreate it)

idk if this is just happening for me though :ribbot-one-tear-tight:

I also noticed that the ribbot emojis aren’t that completely integrated yet either. this one isn’t transparent → :ribbot-crying-tight:

And when reacting to messages or in a status they’re way too large

It could just be an IOS web issue though

i’m having the same issue with it being too big, and i’m on ios web as well!

For me the emoji is twice the size of the regular emojis. Yes the crying one is not transparent yet.

That has caught on so fast! We were planning on announcing it soon (and we will!) thanks for sharing - we’ll try to iron out any issue ASAP.

transparent issue should be fixed though may be cached for a day or so if you already used it.

Regarding size- we made it a tad bit smaller but it’s still going to be bigger because it needs to more details to show and… well, it’s ribbot. we don’t want to mess with him :sweat_smile:
