I’m trying to learn graphgan/tapestry crochet and it’s definitely different from what I’m used to (amigurumi).

When finishing off a color, tug it gently, watch your tension, don’t pull too tight, or leave it too loose. Weave the ends in going back and forth 3 times, in the same color yarn. Be careful to make sure it looks good on both sides. Wait a few rows before doing this, just in case you made a mistake. But, don’t wait until the end, I still have a blanket I need to finish

When you change colors, always bring the color you just finished, to the front, so it is in the back for the next row.

Use bobbins you can use those large plastic clothes pins. ( any dollar store should have them) I’ll attach a photo of what I use.

I’m using DIY bobbins as well (wrapping a hair tie around it) :joy: How do you figure out how much yarn you need for each bobbin?

I just load mine up the one I’m using I’d say is about half full lol

Great tips! Thank you
It’s still hard to remember to bring the yarn back to the front!

Really important for the final look. Good for you to learn that early.

I made a bobbin holder, kinda like this. DIY Yarn Bobbin Holder Under $5 | EASY! - YouTube But mine has large nails, with plastic plumbing pipe over them to hold the yarn. (copper shown in the photo, but I switched it out)

the beginning board may be twice as long as it shows, just so he knows  I guess I do have two, one shorter, and this long one.
