Should I bring back my other patterns?

Hey guys! Remember those patterns I used to have, like the golden retriever, bear purse, highland cow, and drawstring pouch? should I bring those back? I really want to so you guys have free patterns and don’t have to pay for something if you want to make it, but I also want to earn money if I open an Etsy shop or get stripe in the future, which would be harder if a ton of people already have the pattern. What do you think?

  • Yes, you definitely should!!!
  • No, let yourself earn money from them!

You definitely should Bring them back, but at the same time, you should definitely be making money off of stuff if you want to make it of course, I think it could be beneficial, even though some people have your people don’t have your patterns Even though you could end up still making money on the ones who don’t and I’m pretty sure everyone here would love to buy your new and old paid patterns, because you’re so nice and caring

Not all patterns need to be free let some patterns work for you :slightly_smiling_face:

You absolutely deserve to make money off of them, please sell them, you’ll thank yourself later.

You could always do a simpler version like some designers do for blogs so that people have the choice to use it free or pay for a more in depth version.

You could have the simpler designs be free. And sell the ones that took more time and effort to write out the pattern for. I definitely think everyone deserves yo be paid for their work. But I feel like having some free patterns can help convince people to buy your paid ones. Like a free trial of your work, so they know that your paid patterns will be worth it.

You should be earning money from all the effort you put into designing patterns! Pattern designing is hard work, and you deserve compensation. While I think most of us appreciate having access to free patterns, it’s not fair to the designers to expect them all the time. After spending hours designing a pattern, you should get paid for your time and energy, at the very least enough to cover the cost of yarn, etc.

Even if you don’t sell many patterns at first, don’t sell yourself short by offering them for free. It’s not fair to yourself and there will be people willing to pay the price.

I think u should def bring them back because those patterns are all ADORABLE and ur highland cow is one of my fav patterns ever so I think other people would like it!!! Even tho a lot of people already have some of those patterns, there are probably a lot of people who don’t participate in the community so they don’t see the giveaways or that’s its free for a week, so I bet there are still a bunch of other people who would like to buy it! And they’re amazing patterns so I say u should bring them back on here too but make em paid so u can still make money🫶🏻:two_hearts: sorry that’s was a lot:sob: <3
