should i make a facebook account?

i have been debating for a while on whether or not to make a facebook account to sell the amigurumi i make, but don’t want to keep. im not too sure if they would sell or not. if you sell your amigurumi on facebook, do they sell well, or would i just be wasting my time? i planned on making it mostly a business account, only posting crochet things of that matters. thank you for your advice <3

I think it might take a while for it to be super popular to buy something from your shop but once people start seeing more of you work I feel they might like to buy more of it. I don’t have a Facebook account or sell my stuff at all but I hope this helps

Its hit or miss. Depends on your area and if people are searching for handmade items. If youre lucky itll pop up on local feeds.
Facebook is full of scammers. So be careful

Be careful though. I have one and got a few scammers trying to “buy”. I finally marked it as nothing for sale. I still sell stuff to people I know, and local groups may be an option. Just an FYI.

Be really careful I just got scammed in a way that’s not really a scam. someone asked me to make something I sent examples they picked one, I bought the pattern made it looked exactly like the photo and then they said it’s not what they ordered and said they wouldn’t buy it. I wasted three days and money on supplies and gas to get the supplies for them to not buy it. Other wise it’s a great way to promote yourself and the things you make! Just be cautious of people and ask for half down payment if someone wants to commission you (I’m going to start doing that).

I’ve tried in the past, and I’ve only sold one thing. It may be different in your area, but not many people are looking to pay $20 or so for a plushie. I’ve had lots of commissioned pieces from people, but I haven’t had any luck selling individual pieces. I’ve noticed other crocheters in my areas have trouble selling items in our local coffee shops. Farmers markets/craft markets seem to do the best. It may be different for you. You never know until you try

Unless you have a lot of family members and friends on Facebook, I wouldn’t do it. It has a lot of scammers on it. I’m only on it because there’s family I’d otherwise have never met on it
