Hi everyone! Today’s project was a bugling pattern by Didi’s Plushies using the green mini smooshy skein!
What I loved:
The feel. Oh my gosh smooshy lives up to its name! Its very squishy and spongy, a more dense version of bernat if I had to describe it.
Consistency. The texture across the 4 skeins I got were basically identical. The color on them all was also consistent and there were no fluctuations. It was very solid and I was highly impressed.
Visibility. Its very easy to see the stitches, and is almost a bit tubular. I feel this would make a great stepping stone yarn for those wanting to branch out into chenille and blanket type yarns as the stitches were well defined and easy to see.
Downsides:
For the little green skein I had (used about 2/3) I did have 2 factory knots this time which stunk a bit. But I can work around them relatively easily.
The price is also a little more expensive for me but its honestly so worth it.
For these being the only two drawbacks I rate this yarn a 9/10 from what ive had. Definitely going to repurchase when I get some commissions for blanket yarn or bulkier commissions. I dont specalize in this yarn (i specalize in poofy/chenille) but do occasionally dabble in this size.
Behold, the lil grasshopper in smooshy!
