SS or sl st? Abbreviation list.

I have a pattern in testing and someone noticed the beginning auto generated abbreviation list has slip stitch abbreviated as “sl st”. But, I use “ss” in my patterns. If you turn on the tips, purple lightbulb, it shows “ss” as slip stitch. So, the auto generated list found my “ss” and wrote it as “sl st”. Can you change, or add, that @Ribblr? Please.

Hi Marilyn!

To cut straight to the answer - no, there’s no way to change it, as the abbreviation list is created automatically. There is a problem with terms, as there are some stitches that have multiple abbreviations, and at the end of the day, as a global app, we do want to create some sort of unification for all users…

We will definitely take this feedback on board and see how we can incorporate more clarity and personalization in future updates!

Thank you for the feedback :purple_heart:

So you can’t just add SS to the list after the sl st? Thanks for your input on this.

No, as it’s auto generated. If you wish you can use find and replace to replace those names, or keep it as is

I know if people use tips, it says what the ss stands for. I may just have to add an extra line that says the auto generated list is different. I cannot change to the sl st. Too old. Thanks though. I just thought it was funny that you’re auto generated list knew what the ss was. Thanks anyway.
