Stitch Suggestions for Blanket needed! ^-^

Hey everyone! I’m wanting to make my Grandpa a blanket that will help keep him warm, while also not weighing too much. He’s always feeling cold but can’t lift super heavy objects on his own.

I’m wondering if anyone would know what type of stitch or blanket pattern would be great to use for this project? I am comfortable with both crochet and Tunisian crochet!! All suggestions welcome  <3

Lemon peel stitch is my favorite with chenille yarn :star_struck:

Ooo maybe do moss stitch.

I made my husband one with the basket weave stitch and a cotton/wool blend of yarn. It’s light, but the wool helps regulate temperature :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I second this

Moss stitch is very fun once you get into the groove , it’s also great for color changing yarns :)

I haven’t heard of this stitch before actually, is there a pattern or tutorial for it somewhere?
