Today has been full of baking, crochet and laundry.
Today I made homemade pumpkin rolls for the first time. I also made homemade pumpkin purée last night just for this.
This might not be the prettiest because the bread broke while cooling but it was still delicious.
I’m proud of myself because since moving into our house a few months ago I have made it a priority to cook more and also learn how to make more homemade things.

I bet it tastes amazing! My grandmother makes pumpkins rolls along with red velvet rolls and they just taste so good! I gotta ask her for the recipe since I want to make some now lol

I made two today because I know I’ll be taking some to work. I was talking with my mom about how to make the second better (still broke so I’ll be looking up what needs to be after I take it out of the oven as I followed my mom’s directions and she doesn’t even know why it broke) but she said she wants to make some now too.
Also red velvet

What works for me is using cling film to roll it, then wrap it tightly in shape and stick it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight

Every Sunday, my sisters, aunts, parents, uncles, cousins and me, go to my grandparents house and we do Sunday dinner. It’s fun, and I get to spend time with family <3. Tonight we celebrated one of my aunts birthdays, made a pumpkin cake, and had dinner. It’s fun having these weekly dinners, and being able to spend time with all my family on my moms side <3

I do cherish it, we have big get together for the holidays too. My birthdays on Christmas, I never really ‘liked’ it because of that. But the older I’ve gotten I like it more because I get to spend the whole day with my cousins and family <3 I do know not a lot of families do that, but it’s a family ‘tradition’ in a way <3

Those family traditions truly are something to cherish and enjoy. I never realized how much I would miss those things as an adult living away from family.
