i’ve just heard they use stolen patterns-- much like everything else there, nothing is original but always a rip off of something else that has already gained popularity; therefore they don’t need to do product research to make sure the stuff sells (not judging, i use aliexpress and it’s pretty much the same thing there, but might be a good thing to be aware of, especially with crochet patterns that could be someone else’s intellectual property).
