Tester call for Crochet: Chubby Chick

Hi everyone!
Ive just finished my new chubby chick pattern which needs testing! It uses mainly single crochets and some bobble stitches for the wings. There is also a small amount of sewing needed to attach the beak but as long as you know these stitches it’s an easy to follow pattern for any skill level!

I use size 6 super chunky Bernat yarn and a 5.5mm hook which uses takes me about 30-45 minutes for the yellow big chick.

If you want to apply just tap the photo and please make sure you can complete the journal with a picture by the due date below. I will be selecting testers by tomorrow so look out for the group message!

Due Date: 07.07.2025

All done :) love the pattern! Super quick and easy. Only note I will say is that maybe note to skip the bobble sts(2 each) or it comes out to a total of 36.

Thank you so much for letting me test!

I did not put much in my journal except the final product because it was so straightforward and your pattern was easy to follow and I appreciate the notes at the beginning before the instructions. :)

*I also did my beak slightly different. Im very new to sewing/embroidery

I used medium yarns for the yellow and orange, safety eyes, and a 4.5mm hook.

Is it fine if I use thin yarn?(I just applied)

And if I get picked can I skip the beak ( or find a way to do it) I genuinely hate sewing

Yes you can use whatever yarn you like and of course your welcome to alter the beak if you’d prefer it’s only a couple of horizontal stitches to make it but it’s whatever you prefer!

I had a question for row 9 is it 22 single crochet after the bbl stitch?
Thx

Yes you do bobble stitch, then single crochets, the second bobble stitch then finish the row with the single crochets again
