Tester call for Crochet: Davie the Chunky Dog

I need testers for my Davie the Chunky Dog - Crochet ePattern

Due Date: 2 weeks from start of test (I will pick testers in the next couple of days)

Skill Level: Beginner - mostly simple stitches, a little sewing, some front loop only stitches and a few colour changes.

About the Pattern:

  • Low-Sew Construction: No-sew body base starts at the bottom of the feet and works up to the top of the head as a single piece, crocheting in the arms.
  • Assembly: Sewing is required for the nose, ears and tail.
  • Yarn: This pattern is compatible with most yarn types: use lightweight cotton for a small decoration, or chunky plush yarn for a larger, cuddly finish!
  • Finished Size: Approx. 20cm tall with DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, or 35cm tall with chunky yarn and a 4mm hook.
  • Mix and Match: Designed on my signature base! Mix and match with my other Chunky patterns. For example, make yourself a farmer dog by using this pattern to modify Alfie the Chunky Farmer.

If you’ve tested any of my other chunky or pig patterns, the base of this pattern is identical. I also have many more patterns coming soon, all designed to be mixed and matched thanks to the shared base.

Additional Requirements:

  • You can use any yarn and the appropriate hook size, and experiment with different colours. This is a great pattern to make using plush yarn!
  • The instructions include options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes, so do not worry if you do not have any safety eyes
  • You must be willing to provide feedback on any parts of the pattern that are unclear or if you spot any errors / typos
  • I would also like feedback on the level of difficulty.
  • A journal entry of the finished item would be amazing, but not required - however, I would love to see a photo of your finished amigurumi.
  • If you would like to do a mashup with any of my other patterns, let me know in the comments.

Thanks for looking

I’d like to test. Surgery is postponed for the moment so I can work on a test.

Actually I don’t mind the delay. I really don’t want to be cut open again.

I would absolutely love to test this! Either using 4 weight acrylic yarn and a 3.75mm hook or 6 bulky yarn and I think a 6.50mm hook. So cute! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I dont have time to test this leaving on a cruise in 2 weeks. I do have the eggy dog so sure I can interchange the pieces if I want to make one later.
