tester call for crochet 'f*ck pride' top/t-shirt

i need testers for my ‘f*ck pride’ top/t-shirt crochet pattern. the word is censored because ribblr would autocorrect it to fudge, and that is so not what i mean lmao–

the pattern includes instructions for different versions:

  • ace/asexual (f*ck no)
  • bi (f*ck you too)
  • pan (f*ck you all)
  • wlw/lesbian (f*ck women)
  • mlm/gay (f*ck men)
  • trans (f*ck gender)

i will need one or two testers for each version, maybe more for the trans version with different flags under the trans umberella (nonbinary, demigender, genderqueer, genderfluid, etc., anything is welcome)!

the place of the text can be changed! for me it’s only so up because i wanted the text to be white and all the stripes the same length.

the due date will be 3rd of august, and i would be selecting the testers on 7th of july - that would give you four weeks to work on the top/t-shirt.

the pattern will be paid when it’s finished testing :)

what you need:

  • weight 1 yarn, right colors for the version you want to test
  • experience with clothing patterns, the placement of the text graph can be a bit tricky
  • to create journal to show off the project after you’re done :)

comment (not optional! if you won’t tell me these things, you won’t be selected):

  • what version you would like to test, including what flag since there are different ones :3
  • how long sleeves would you make? the pattern picture has two rounds, so either way you’ll be testing the sleeve portion, but i’d like to see some t-shirt length for variety in the tester gallery!
  • as a default i assume you’re going to make the distressed hem, but tell me if you want an even hem
  • can i use your pictures on the tester gallery (with credit, feel free to check out how i did it with my other patterns)?

this was also my project for the monthly challenge! if you like it, i’d appreciate if you went to like the journal :3

and a picture without all the text hehe:

The shirt looks great!
I’d love to test the pan version with t-shirt sleeves and the distressed hem, you can use my pictures.
I’d use yarn, that’s 400m/100g (Google said, that belongs to weight 1, so it should work).
How much yarn did you use for your version (and what size is it)? So I know, if I have enough yarn at home or if I’d need to get some more:)

the yarn choice sounds great! my shirt is 60 cm wide (laid flat, so 120 cm circumference not stretched) and ~58 cm tall, though keep in mind that it’s been measured straight from use lmao. i used ~220 g of yarn, which is around 660 m of yarn since the yarn i used is 300g/100m. i used 3,5 mm hook as well, to keep the tension loose :3

it looks super cool! similar to others, i saw the title and went HUH?? but saw your username and was so confused! i think what got me was that the title is (“fudge pride” shirt) and not (“fudge” pride shirt).

i don’t have any weight 1 yarn and am not sure i even have time to test, but i am looking forward to the release!! i can’t wait to see a trans version! :light_blue_heart::pink_heart::white_heart::pink_heart::light_blue_heart::transgender_flag:

I’d like to make the mlm version :)) as sleeveless as possible because i like the tank top look and I’d probably make an even hem so it’ll be a bit more snug and won’t ride up as much!! I’ll have to see if i can get the right colours at my yarn store of choice, if not I’d also be down to make it the standard rainbow colours!!

I’d love to test this out! It looks so cool, in every sense : )

I’d be up for testing the trans version with elbow-length sleeves and an even hem. Do you want different lengths to be tested too? - I prefer tunic-length tops, so would be happy to try that out if you want. You can use my pictures when it’s done.

oooh sounds great!! and i’m not too fussed about the length, do what you feel is best :)

I’m interested in testing the trans text with nonbinary flag! I haven’t pattern tested before but I’ve made lots of wearables, done some work with charts, have written my own patterns, and have a background in technical writing.

ooooh yeah!! i’d be so happy to have the enby flag in the tester gallery :3

is the size adjustable? or do you want everyone to do the same size? either is fine but I would prefer to make it a little smaller so it fits me better

size is absolutely adjustable! this is a made to measure pattern :) it does have some minimum stitch counts, but that’s only so that the graph fits ^^ there are instructions on how to modify the size on the pattern!
