i can answer that cause ive made alot of these!!! you brush it with a comb or a dog brush!

I brushed the yarn with a metal bristle dog brush, and I got this yarn at Joan’s but I forgot what kind it was and I took off the paper things, I just needs to be bulky acrylic to work for this though I think

I’ve made tails before, so I know a dog brush is needed, but you might want to include that in the application post at the top because others might not realize it
