tester call for crochet 'freedom of water' skirt!

i need testers for my ‘freedom of water’ skirt!

i posted a picture of it a few days ago, and got an overwhelmingly positive response - 37 of you wanted a pattern. this will be a paid pattern when it’s published, so this is your chance to get it for free :D

for this skirt i used four skeins of cotton kings sultan deluxe, which equals to 4000 m or 1000 g of yarn, so beware!

i will be accepting 5-10 testers on 14th of february, so don’t be alarmed if you aren’t accepted right away!

please comment what yarn you would be using, i would love to see it done in different yarns and sizes!

this pattern is made to measure <3 you can also make a single-layered skirt! and do comment if you have any questions :3

i will also be requiring a journal with at least a picture of the end result and your opinion of the pattern, and feedback in the group chat. if you’re selected to test, not completing (or even getting started) before the due date without a reason will result in not being able to test any of my future patterns.

the due date for this will be the 31st of may. it takes work, and i know people do have lives outside crochet :D extensions will be granted if asked for!

another picture :3

and a process picture! this is very trust the process kind of work :D no, you don’t need to use kumihimo to make the cord, a chain will do, but this was for a competition so i went all out :3

I have two questions. Are there any color requirements and does the finished picture of the skirt have to have the skirt on you?

I would love to do this with big twist value yarn, and I would love to do it from a black to a white with a gradient! 5mm hook. I also don’t mind keeping to the blue tones if needed as well!

do you mean 31st of may, or march? i might test :)

I applied to test and I would probably use blue and white at the end like you did. (You can ignore my questions.)

I would love to test this it’s so pretty!!! If I get selected I would make it in purple and pink with white for the bottom in a size 4 (medium) yarn.

Do you mean the 31st of March, as there are only 28 days in February.

I’m not 100% sure what yarn I will be using but I am leaning towards lion brand mandala gradient in aqua.

So lovely! I’d like to test!

I’d use sultan cotton kings as well, I’ve been wanting to work with that yarn, and I’m thinking a black/white gradient or something involving teal and deep blues… ocean-y vibes, manifesting summer!

I’d use yarn bee’s soft and sleek yarn. It’s a low pill fiber that I think works up nicely. Idk what hook size yet but maybe somewhere around 5 mm maybe larger.
