I would love to test for you again, but i have 4 other testers in the works right now. I just dont think i could finish it by the 21st. Please tag me on release.
I would like to test this using cotton yarn to make it a coaster/mat 
I have 2 contrasting colours in worsted I could use, or many more in DK - would it work with DK do you think?

I’d love to try this out! I’d use cotton, but I believe it would be closer to a DK weight though versus worsted.

You can use any yarn you’d like! It will honestly work in everything from crochet thread up to super bulky 
For what you want to use it for of course absorbency will change depending on acrylic/cotton.
I worked mine up in a cotton Light [3] weight yarn and it’s 6.5”x6.5”, so DK will end up larger than that. Hope that helps!
Edit: Oh right, DK is light lol. I never remember yarn weights outside of super fine, fine, light, medium, etc
