this is adorable!! i might make this for my friend, who loves chickens :) - how many rounds is the main white part?

@Aeryneso,
It has a BLO round + 5 rounds of 40 sts + 2 more Dec rounds
…
So basically 5, or 8 if you count the beginning and end of the main body.

ok!! i’ll test with similar colors, a 4mm hook, and size 4 (acrylic) yarn :) additionally, i will definitely make one right-handed, but i MIGHT make one left-handed if i have enough time :D

@aeryneso ,
It’ll be fun to see you test something-and you’ll automatically be tagged in the pattern release+tester appreciation, so no need to ask ;)
It might take longer in your non-dominant hand than your octo did, but Oh! the sense of accomplishment!
I don’t know why it’s not showing I’m replying to your comment… Oh well.

I’d love to test. Righty here. I’d use Bernat blanket. I just bought three new skeins of farm yard colors, so not sure which I’d use. It’s a super bulky (6) and I’d use 2mm down from the recommended, I think that would be 6mm (8mm recommended)

I made mine in Bernat blanket with 6.5 mm hook. 6 mm should also work well. It’s hard to choose colors, right? I’m looking forward to seeing your chicken(s).

I would loooove to test!! I’m a right handed crocheter. And I would use these yarns and a 3mm hook!
The one in the back is what I would use in case there is not enough of the first white. This is soooo cute!!! I loooove how it looks kinda realistic! I’ve been looking for a chicken pattern just like this! It’s like you just read my mind because this is exactly what I was looking for! It’s sooooo cuteee!!

I love this!! It reminds me of the chickens from stardew valley. I don’t think I have time to test unfortunately, but I will definitely be getting this pattern when it releases!! Could you tag me in the pattern release so I know when it comes out?

yay!! it might not actually take longer because my octopus was like 11 rounds, plus it utilized crocheting into the back loops of chains, which i… don’t recommend doing ith your non-dominant hand
but yeah!! i will definitely enjoy making it :)
also, it doesn’t show you’re replying when your comment is directly below my comment :)
