Good luck on your testing. You’ll want to include due date and any requirements you may have, such as yarn, color, hook, journal, etc.

I don’t know what it is about mushrooms, but I love making mushrooms. This guy is super cute, and has a unique look. I would like to make 2. 1 in a #4 weight acrylic yarn and 2 in a #6 weight polyester yarn.

Here is a how I do pattern testing. First I read through the pattern and write it out by hand (I find this helps me spot any errors). Then while testing, I take multiple progress pictures of each piece. I also take notes as I go that are added to my final journal. Once the project is complete I take several pictures of the completed project at various angles. During the testing process, if I come across anything in the pattern that just doesn’t seem right (whether that be not understanding how something is explained, or a wrong stitch count, or another error) I go to the designated spot to communicate what I’ve found as soon as it comes up. Then my final report will include the final journal, some comments about the pattern, and a picture of the completed pattern. I also include all measurements for each piece of the pattern, as well as the completed project measurements. I am of an advanced/expert level crocheter, and have roughly 13 years experience.

Here are just a couple of mushrooms I freehanded.

Congratulations on your newest pattern.
