I recommend finding a really simple pattern that only has two or three colours. That way you wont have as much yarn to deal with. My first was the flower simble from tangled as it only needed purple and yellow. I personally prefer just reading charts instead of written out patterns, when crocheting from a chart you dont really need to find a pattern. I personally like to Google pixel art. to read the chart each square can represent one sc. For the first row look to the bottom of the picture and count how many squares there are, say there were 15 squares, then you would ch 16 so you have enough room to start. If there is only one colour used in that row sc across using that color then chain one and turn. When you get to a row that has multiple colours, say it was 3 sc in pink 2 sc in blue 10sc in pink, you would do 2 sc in pink, then start doing the third sc when you have two loops on you hook pull though them with the new colour in this example blue. You can just keep going like that !! I dont think i did that good of a job at explaining this so i highly recommend mahums video on youtube as thats how i learned!! Good luck :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
