Tester call for Crochet: Wicked - Glinda and Elphaba Doll

I need 6-8 testers for my Wicked - Glinda and Elphaba Doll - Crochet ePattern

Due Date: 1 January 2025 (the doll only takes 2-3 hours to crochet, but if you cannot meet the deadline please don’t apply)

After watching the Wicked movie this weekend I was completely awe struck, that is how this pattern was born! it is small and can be created in only a few hours, but it does need a crocheter who is slightly above beginner, as there are clearly a lot of colour changes!

Additional Requirements:

  • take a good picture of the finished product, and email it to me, or post it on Instagram, and tag me @gemsquashcrochet. I really need good photos to use for promotional purposes (with you tagged of course)
  • you can use any wool you want as long as you adjust the hook size accordingly, please let me know in the comments what wool and hook you would use :star_struck:

I saw wicked with my 2 daughters and my hubby this past weekend too! We had seen it on Broadway more than 10 years ago and loved it! I would love to test your pattern! Not sure yet what yarn I would use but I have cotton and wool yarn and it would take a pretty small hook, maybe a 3.5, but I have smaller hooks if needed. I can start on it right away!

So excited to have finished this! I am giving it to one of my daughters with the rest of her Christmas presents! No problems with the pattern. I just needed to read it more carefully. As noted, there were a lot of color changes!
When doing Elphaba’s hair I separated the strands of yarn to give it a more braided appearance.

Also, I did not embroider around the eye. Just a personal preference.

I used worsted weight yarn and a 3.75mm hook

If you still need testers I’d love to test with acrylic yarn and probably a 1.5mm hook:)
