Anatomical Mini-Bonnet Headband

Hi everyone! :white_heart:

I’ve finished the pattern for an anatomical mini-bonnet headband with seamless i-cord edgings and ties. This is my very first pattern designed specifically for knitting needles, and I’m looking for 5 testers to help ensure the instructions are clear and accurate.

Pattern & Test Details:

  • Yarn: Any Sport-weight yarn or yarn held together (such as fingering + lace mohair) that meets the gauge. Holding two strands is completely optional — feel free to use a single strand of your favorite Sport-weight yarn in any color.

  • Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 (or size needed to obtain gauge).

  • Timeline: 2 weeks from the date testers are selected (deadline around November 6th).

If you’d like to join the test, please apply in the comments below with the yarn you’d like to use. Thank you so much!

Thank you! :white_heart: It uses very little yarn—100 meters (approx. 110 yards) is the absolute maximum, but most likely even less! A single 50g skein of Sport-weight yarn is more than enough. If you hold two strands together, you’ll need under 100m of each

Uuu perfect! (Finally pattern that I don’t need to double strand for.:face_with_tongue: (I usually use 5 ply/sport weight so slayy))

Thank you! :white_heart: Now you’ve got me thinking—should I make a crochet version of this bonnet too?

I would love to test this! I would use mondial Bora Bora yarn in weight 1 BUT I would triple strand it. If that’s oki. I would also be using 3.5 mm needles(almost wrote hook upsies) and the yarn color is idk;

Thank you for applying! :white_heart: Actually, holding Mondial Bora Bora double will be more than enough! Triple-stranding it would make the fabric a bit too thick and stiff for this pattern and 3.5 mm needles. Two strands will give you the perfect light, flexible drape!
