Tester call for KNITTING : Luna Twist Top

I need testers for my Luna Twist Top - ePattern
Due Date: 27th April 2025 - flexible :) just message me.

Looking for adventurous beginners to test knit my luna twist top. It is a chunky 6 st cable knit top that has a small side slit and ties together at the shoulders with i-cord bows. It has intricate contrast trims made with alpaca silk and wool yarn - making a speedy project where you will learn a lot!

Test pattern will be sent via message as it is a PDF file.
Rewards for testers: The final pattern for free and a future pattern from my shop for free. Added to my list of pattern testers (with your consent).

Additional Requirements:

  • Communicate your progress with me once a week.
  • Create a journal with time stamps, including feedback on my pattern, message me with any questions so I can resolve problems as you test if needed :).
  • Upload at least 2 finished photos of your final luna twist top! Will not be posted anywhere without your consent.

Needles + Other Tools:

  • 3.00 mm needles
  • 6mm needles.
  • Double pointed or circular needles (to create i-cord ties)
  • A cable needle.
  • Scissors or snips
  • Tape measure
  • 4 stitch markers

Yarn you will need:

Main Body:
I used Hayfield Baby Blossom Chunky (100g/ 155m - 100% Acrylic) but you can use any yarn that meets gauge.

Gauge: Your gauge needs to be made using the cable pattern stated in the pattern.
14st x 17 rows (10x10cm)

Amount:
XS - 2 skeins
S - 2 skeins
M - 3 skeins
L 3 skeins

Trims:
I used 1 end of DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk Yarn (25g/140m - I used colour Cerise) held together with 1 end of Baa Ram Ewe Pip ColourWork 100% Wool 4ply Yarn (25g/ 116m - I used colour Hirst Pink) but you can use any yarn that meets gauge.

Amount: 1 skein of each of the above yarns OR 1 x 50g/ 150m if only using 1 type/end of yarn.

Gauge:
Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk Yarn = 17 sts x 22 rows (10x10cm) using 5mm needles.

Baa Ram Ewe Pip ColourWork 100% Wool 4ply Yarn = 28 sts x 37 rows (10x10cm) using 2.75 - 3.25mm needles.

Both yarns/ together = 19st x 28 rows (10x10cm) on 3mm needles.

This is beginner friendly but adventurous! The skills you will need is cable knitting, but that’s easily learnable , increasing and decreasing as well as picking up stitches, there are also tutorials showing you how to do those things :) lmk if you change your mind! I will make some beginner patterns soon! xx
