Tester call soon?

I already made a tester call and I have my testers! Thanks everyone!!

I made this pattern for a Jellycat inspired sardine can like a month ago and had it listed on a different website (a horrible website:) and I wasn’t going to do a test for it because I thought instagram was the only place for that, but now that I’ve discovered Ribblr (amazing!!) Im thinking about doing a tester call for it!

I’d love if some more experienced ribblrs could tell me how long I should have the testing window for because I haven’t done this before, it’s not a super complex pattern but as you can tell by the photo it’s a lot of components so I want to make sure not to rush my testers!

Also id love to know if your interested in testing, I’ll probably only have 2-5 testers, and Im just curious if anyone thinks they’ll have time to make it?

One last thing, if you have seen the original Jellycat then you can tell I tried very hard to match the colors, but for the testers I don’t think I care what color they make so it in, since I just want to know if the pattern makes sense and having to buy a whole skein of bright teal just to use three grams might scare people away from testing!

Thank you for taking time to read my brain dump!

I took so many pictures of steps throughout the pattern to make it (hopefully) beginner friendly!

Thank you!! I need to finish editing the pattern, I transferred a pdf to Ribblr’s pattern thingy so I just have to work some stuff out, but hopefully I can post the tester call in the next few days!

It could probably be 2 weeks, but giving more time lets more of the really active, busy testers apply too. Case in point, if you’re making it a month, I would love to test that. I adore making food items and the removable sardines are just perfect. My test page is filled with other tests for about another week, though, and I wouldn’t risk being late with them to apply to this one if it were just 2 weeks. I’ll be watching for your testing call and applying.

Yay! Thanks so much! I will definitely have the testing window for about a month, because like you said I don’t want anyone to miss other tests or not apply because of a shorter window. I will probably have the tester call up later today (!!) and choose testers tomorrow? It’ll take me a bit to figure it all out for the first time but I’m so excited!

Around a month is perfect (esp for us more busy) and i would love to test! Sardines are actually so tasty :joy: and this is adorable!

Edit- i do not have the plush yarn though so I’d have to test in acrylic/worsted weight if chosen

Thanks! I actually would love if you used non-plush yarn, so I can see what it looks like in different textures!

If I am chose I would love to start today, but a lot of people want to wait a day or two!

Thanks! I’ll have the tester call out soon, once you apply do I just have to approve it then you can start? Then once I have all testers I can make a group chat? Do you know if that’s how it works?

Yep! So you will want to go to your shop, then when you see the pattern you will click that little clip board with a check, click what ever option you prefer, then in that post add any requirements, when the testing ends, or colors, then that is the first step
