Omg yesss this idea is amazing
Ive always had so many people apply to test my patterns, but thereās always so few that actually follow the requirements

This is a really good idea lol
I also think it would be nice to simply have a menu tab dedicated to testing (maybe as an option since not everyone writes patterns to be tested or tests other peoplesā patterns) instead of patterns that Iām testing having to be accessed through my profile thingy and managing testers being accessed from my shop
Cuz itās honestly kind of tiring to constantly switch between the community/ testing chat and the place where you manage testers, partially because there isnāt a separate place to manage them once youāve accepted your testers (ik that pending, approved, and completed tests are sorted from top to bottom but the testing aspect of Ribblr hasnāt really been updated for a while ;-;)
Also, I think a tester chat should be a default thing where whoever is accepted is automatically added and notified, because testers donāt get notified from simply getting accepted. The people that are getting their patterns tested choose testers in their own time (sometimes with a date, sometimes right away, sometimes adding more later) so adding more people to the testing chat manually isnāt really ideal :l And it would be kewl if the tester chat had roles to show whoās done testing, and perhaps a button to gift the pattern once requirements are met so that switching to the āassign testersā page to gift the pattern isnāt necessary.
great idea! thanks for sharing <3
Oh my gosh, finally someone has said it
the switching between drives me nuts. Itās soooo tedious. Sometimes I hate updating patterns, checking journals, gifting etc because youāre constantly going between pages and scrolling etc and I just canāt face it ![]()
YES AWESOME IDEA IVE ALWAYS WISHED FOR THIS
I would be happy to help with updating these pages, I just donāt know how to do the programming portion.
Thanks! Our team often reaches out to Ribblrs to get more feedback. You can also join our @RibblrTesters group to test features early!
I think that would be a great idea. I know Iāve applied to alot of tests and half the time never know if Iāve been selected or not. Its very discouraging to apply and rarely get selected for tests. I have tested for a few designers (there are some I really like testing for), but would like to test for more. I try to keep track of the ones I have applied to, but there are times I forget to add them to my list. .
And we should have a max of like 4-6 tests, because multiple people canāt finish theirs and itās sad..
I think there should also be a spot that asks when you are able to start testing. I have noticed if I give 2 weeks, some donāt start until two days before due date. And by then, everybody else is done testing already, and Iām just waiting.
Good idea!!!
Thank you, I applied and was accepted. I canāt wait to help with updating this process, both for testers and designers.
What has helped me is that I wrote in my āadditional requirementsā section of my tester calls that the photo needs to be bright with clean background and that if not all requirements are met I wonāt gift them the pattern.
Yes, we definitely need this.
Great suggestions. There could also be a section where people who are new to ribblr and donāt have any makes can upload a few pictures of their work, so the creators can have an idea of their style and skills.
I was thinking that too, we c9uld either put as a separate section, or as an instruction for adding to the comments section.
I was accepted into the RibblrTester group, so hopefully we can work on updating the entire tester call process, both for applicant and designer.
I created a discussion to bring all comments and suggestions together.
So smart!!
Yes, I would love away to see what ones we applied to, if we were accepted or denied. So that way we can get the pattern or not.
I just applied for my first one so it is new to me but this would be great!
Yarn type, size, hook size, etc. for testing doesnāt bother me as much. I know it wonāt provide the look they want by not using the proper stuff. The main thing is to make sure the pattern is possible to do and there are no errors. That is just me.
Iām interested in testing and more.
