Testing help and suggestions

Lol clip board it is!!! I read that the designer not marking you complete does that as well so if I’m gonna have a slight dip in my % then it’s on my own accord. The community is big on respect as am I and I refuse to help someone that does not have the common courtesy to keep the lines of communication open for their testers especially when it’s stressed upon in their test post. Just my personal thoughts on it anyway…I don’t have time nor the patience for that nonsense:heart:

lol, yeah.

that’s true, but people don’t know that when they see your testing percentage, so often people are reluctant to abort :] people tend to abort after [fill in period of time between a week and a month], tho!! i-i js kindakeep them in my testing tab becaue i don’t mind them being there, plus i have a lot of random ones from people adding me as a tester/editor to all their patterns (whether by accident or by request), so if i aborted all of them my testing percentage would drop a lot, lol.

I only have like 1 or 2 that’s I’ve gotten no response on. I’m been tempted to just abort so I don’t help them like @QueenMedusa said. I test so many things I think my percentage would be okay plus idk where to find the percent anyways

I’ve been on the other side of a similar problem: my last few tests I’ve been ghosted by my testers and that has been incredibly frustrating:upside_down_face: I don’t mind if they need to quit the pattern because of life but straight up ghosting is frustrating. I’d love if something could be done on both ends - for the sake of testers who are ghosted by authors and authors ghosted by testers.

when you are ghosted by testers, you can remove them from testing (for that specific test) and/or block them from testing (for all tests). the thing is, we as testers don’t have an option like that when designers ghost us, unless we abort, but that harms our testing percentage.

I am happy i never been through this experience, but this needs to be reported.

Oh, I’m fully aware I can remove them, but when 3 out of 5 ghost me, it sucks lol. I didn’t have a lot of applicants in the first place and it’s pretty obnoxious.

okk!! i understand; i had a test where 2 people ghosted me and bvuibfvcuiw i hate it too. i was js saying that bc you said this:

because for authors, you can already block testers. but for testers, it’s frustrating because you can’t do anything without harming yourself (testing percentage ACK)…

I totally get you! I think I wasn’t considering those options because of the fact that it still leaves me short on testers lol but if they’re ghosting there’s probably nothing that can be done to bring them back that we wouldn’t already do. Maybe just pushing notifications on them even if their notifications are off
