I’ve seen a bunch of people in the testing zone lately asking if there are any tester calls needing testers, and this gets quite annoying when I’m trying to look for an apply for tester calls. There are also tester calls where they don’t include any link at all. I feel like, oi reduce the clutter, you should only be able to post in the the testing zone if it has a working link, and if you try to post a topic without one there could be a popup that says something like"need help posting the testing link" with helpful details or “move to a different section before posting”. Anyways thanks for reading my suggestion (:

The one potential problem I see with this is that some people do post tester calls for pdf patterns which don’t have links they can directly post, but other than that, I completely agree :0

I agree! I have notifications on for the testing zone and it kind of gets annoying when i see 5 different people ask if there are patterns that they could test. Sorry if im offending anyone

YES defo when i was a regualr i used to move sooo many topics from the testing zone because it was just becoming so cluttered with random unrelated topics

Thanks for suggesting! Your solution won’t work unfortunately, because we are open to people testing in multiple ways. However, we certainly rely on your help as a Regular to help us move things to the right space, flag things, or let people know they should visit Testing zone instead of saying if there’s anything to test.
We also have our Testing Guidelines so please do flag things that violate it and we’ll take care of it. Together we can make sure people are better aware of how to use our community tools

Ok so I’ve seen a lot of people just posting a topic in the testing zone that’s like that says “can I test something?” (not trying to pick on anyone) but it’s kind of getting annoying, every time some other person has to respond with “you can look through the testing zone.”So that leads me to my main point- all posts in the testing zone can only be posted with the “post a tester call” option in your shop. Also some people don’t understand that for a tester call you have to be able to apply on Ribblr, but if you post a tester call using the option in your shop, testers can apply on Ribblr! This way they’d be following the rules of the testing zone and people that are looking to test patterns don’t have to scroll through the “can I test something?” posts.

I agree! I did post one of those on the first day I joined Ribblr because I didn’t know, so ig I can’t be talking. Butttt now it is getting annoying, so that is a great idea!

I do agree with this! It’s mainly new users, so we can definitely be more forgiving. Ofc, when it’s one of them, we help them along. (Ik I def made mistakes.) (Again, not tryna make anyone feel bad.)
