The difference between using the correct sized hook and one that’s too big

My frog amigurumi plush is only 8 1/2 months old. Despite that, I had to update her.

Originally, I used a 3.50mm sized hook to make the plushie. But that made the tension too loose, which caused the stuffing to show through the stitches.

So I used a 3.00mm sized hook for the updated plush. It may not seem much, but it does make a huge difference. Not only is it smaller, but it’s also firm too!

However, I’ll have to update her pattern as well, at some point. I just need to change a few words and images, that’s all.

Up until like 2 weeks ago i had always used 6mm hook for thicker plush yarn but stuffing showed through the stitches so i sized down to 5mm and it looks so muck better
