From my perspective… if they invested more into their in store employees (allowing more staff to be hired and paid them well to keep them)… that would help their sales. Every Joann I’ve been to within the year has boxes of unopened yarn stock just sitting there piling up. On weekends, they’re always understaffed at the cashier. The impact? Probably fewer in store customers, cuz the experience of in store shopping has gone downhill. How could that not affect their sales? And I’m so bummed about it. Big Twist yarn is my favorite. I want Joann to be successful. I’m sure the understaffing stuff isn’t the only problem they’re having… but still. Ugh it sucks! Joann has been my favorite yarn stop for as long as I’ve been crocheting. There’s really not many other options near me for in person yarn shopping.
Anyway, chapter 11 bankruptcy doesn’t mean they’re closing at this point. Sounds like it depend on who buys them out. Even if they have to close physical locations, I hope they’ll always still be available online… how else will I get my Big Twist

l may have dropped $140 on Big Twist Posh. Eeep.
I did use a 20% off total purchase coupon (include sale items) that I got in the mail. Big Twist Posh is technically on sale, not a “door buster” item.

I knooo…maybe Premier Yarn or Yarnspirations can buy up the rights or whatever they need to sell the Big Twist Posh yarn?

That would be cool. I’ve never seen any other yarns close enough to posh, so I hope it finds a way to stay on the market.

Yes, they definitely are having problems. Sounds like they totally need to rethink how they conduct business
