hiiii, i feel like i need to say this because i dont see many people talking about it. when the new gem system was introduced we were promised an easier way to get gems and patterns being cheaper, and yes while some gem patterns have cut the cost, its so much harder to get gems now. ive seen people saying they spun the wheel only to get 2 gems. thats only 2% of what was originally one gem. ribblr responded saying thats on purpose to expand how many people get gems from the wheel but personally it doesnt make sense in my mind. its also harder to even get to 100 (originally 1 gem) then ever now. i used to on average get one gem a month but im only at 60 something and its been around two months now. it kind of feels like ribblr is trying to keep us lower on gems with this new system, which i would understand if they wanted to do that, they need money to keep this app running, but the way they are framing it as us getting more gems from this update feels dishonest. whats yalls views on this new gem system? do you have a gem update story you want to share?
I also hate how they changed the ads for free gems. It now gives you a minute of ads in a full window and I donāt know how many times itās opened Google Play on me. Itās so annoying. Ads were fine when I didnāt feel like I had been taken out of the Ribblr app. I tend not to bother to watch ads anymore, but itās also probably the only way Iāll be getting any meaningful amount of gems. As for the wheel, I rather feel like the gems are now more in line with the value of the other prizes. I mean, giving out a ton of postcards costs them nothing and a free trial of a site that gives free trials to everyone doesnāt give you a meaningful prizeā¦
That being said, I donāt feel like they have to give gems out at all. If they do, however, I also agree that them trying to get people excited about the new gem system is in poor taste.
oh yes i forgot about the fact the ads are always opening other apps and websites! and yeah if they want to roll back how many gems we get it makes sense but why are we being told the opposite.
I agree that it seems harder for most people to get enough gems for a pattern. If you donāt have social media, the only way to get a significant amount is to keep your streak going for 100 days. The giveaways tend to have like 3 winners and about 1000 entrants so your odds are slim.
Also I moved this to support since it is Feedback for Ribblr ![]()
