I was curious if we could have timed release topics, like specifically for announcing patterns that are to be released on a specific date. I tend to forget, and if I do draft the topic ahead of time it, gets swallowed by my drafts folder. And I know many of us can get so swept up with other things that it makes it difficult for us to stay on schedule.
So what I was thinking is that it’s an option located near “Schedule Release” that allows you to set the pattern announcement on the same time as when the pattern is released. And kind of how it is with tester calls, the link to the pattern and some filler text would be there that you can replace before it gets posted.
And for multiple patterns that get released in the same day, perhaps there’s an option to merge announcements— like with how you can bundle patterns, so it doesn’t interfere with self promo cooldown.
I hope y’all will consider this in a future update and thanks for reading

That would be awesome. I have to wait until the 8th to promote my 4 released patterns because of the way too strict self promo limit. It would be nice if I could schedule that post so I don’t forget about it.
We agree this would be a great addition, though there are some technical complexities involved. We’re actively working on new ways for Ribblrs to share patterns and journals more seamlessly, which we expect to roll out in early 2026. This would also help manage self promotion in a more sufficient way.
In the meantime, we recommend saving your topic as a draft. While you’ll still need to post it manually, this allows you to prepare and edit your post in advance.
