Hey guys!!! I’m making a Christmas present, and it uses eyelash yarn. Is it like basic yarn, or should I do something different? Please help!

I love eyelash yarn. It takes some getting used to, but it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it

I prefer knitting with it, otherwise I can’t find my stitches. Use a big hook though, that makes it easier.

When learning, it helps to use a strand of your typical yarn with it. It can make it easier to see your stitches that way.

I have heard that it can be easier to work with if you get some acrylic of the same color and work with them as a double strand. It make look less fluffy and full, but it’s much easier to work with. I tried a small sample like this, and it worked well.

It’s trickier to work with. The easiest way to use it is by first crocheting your project with normal yarn in the back loops only, and then use eyelash yarn in the leftover front loops.
