tips for quitting screens

So I am on my laptop alot. Not my phone, but my laptop. I use ribblr and youtube alot and its getting in the way of schoolwork. I need tips on how to quit!!
my problem is that I use my school email for all the google accounts, which means if I log out of youtube (which is how I quit youtube before), It logs me out of all the other google apps, which I need for school.
Any tips are very appreciated

Hmm maybe just don’t go to YouTube? Like take it off your tabs! And when you feel tempted I would just remind yourself that you’re trying to quit!

i think there are extensions you can add that will block you from accessing websites on a custom schedule (e.g. blocksite for chrome. it was the first one i could find)

Add parental controls and block youtube, then to get youtube you have to go through the steps of unlocking via passwords and stuff.

hm, id say ask your parents to hide your device and keep it in a place where you cannot find it. but if you dont live with your parents, you can just shut off your device and put it in a place where you can forget about it.

( i didnt read the whole thing, so please correct me if i was saying smt to the wrong thing)

What I do to prevent this (I also love utube)

I give myself a reward.

EG: I tell myself, if I do 10 minutes of work, I can have 5 mins of utube.

If u need help only getting that 5 mins, just remember, if u do 20 more mins of work, u can get 10 mins of utube!

:blush:Hope this helped

Like quit completely? Because if you’re trying to quit all together and never watch it or do it then take baby steps. If not, baby steps are enough. I don’t have suggestions but there are some good ones here, the reward is a good one but just make sure you stop yourself once it’s over. Sorry that wasn’t helpful at all. ):
