Hello, so I just joined ribblr and I was wondering if y’all had any tips on how to create my own patterns…I normally follow YouTube tutorials, and haven’t tried creating my own pattern. I love making cute amigurumi creations, but whatever you guys can help with would be awesome! 
It would be super cool to create something all on my own, but I’m not sure how…

When trying to make a certain shape, such as an arm or a head, on my own I honestly have no idea what to do. Is there a certain way I should start my patterns, or do I just wing it?

Well I mean if you want the real basics like start with a magic ring (mr) then crochet into that but the way you “start” a pattern is just… omg I’m so bad explaining stuff

Like probably start with writing an easier pattern like less parts to sew or just smaller so it’s less sections in the pattern
