I am doing the Tour de Fleece again this year. For non spinners it’s spinning for a pre determined amount of time you choose each day during the Tour de France bicycle race, taking days off when the riders do. I’m spinning 20 min a day. I’m working on finishing a CVM (California Variegated Mutant) sheep/alpaca blend roving I have had on my wheel for many months. I already had 1 bobbin done and am working on the 2nd bobbin then I’ll ply it and “tada” yarn ;). I’ll keep choosing a new roving as I finish until the end of the race. It’s fun and when I’m done I have more yarn ;).
*just a little update
another update, I splurged and bought a tee shirt with my Tour de Fleece’s team name (FLD stands for Fiber Love Diary), now I feel official! The two bobbins are done and on the lazy kate for plying, now I need to let the yarn rest a couple of days, and I’ll start another project on my Rick Reeves wheel while I wait to ply these wonderful singles into yarn, .
One more edit, it’s yarn!
New project started, a fractal spin!
Day 2 of fractal spin
it’s coming along ;).
