Trademark characters

Thought some might find this info helpful… (I know this is for sure for USA, but I’d imagine it would be similar in other countries…)

Wow there are shops on ribblr using trademarked characters that say you can sell the finished product.

There are on eBay and any other selling platform too… But this is the legal (if not always popular) answer

I have been back and forth on my scooby slippers myself, because even with the names and in a group photo, most people didn’t get the connection.
But I know that restaurants and hair salons get fined all the time for playing music in thier business, and zazzle shops are like shooting fish in a barrel for trademark lawyers.

Also, even if you give that pattern away for free, if it’s listed in a shop with other paid patterns, it’s considered advertising because you are using it to draw people to your shop.
