I did this recently. I made a dishtowel and dishcloth set. The yarn is small and light and the final products take up no room

(the wrinkles make it look more askew than it is. It a folded in the wash and since there is a loop to hang it, I didn’t mind much)

uhm i think amigurumi would be nice, bc it’s time consuming and doesn’t make much of a mess, so i def would recommend that! there are sum free patterns here on ribblr :).

You could make a hook case

Maybe a bag? When I go traveling we usually just drive, but when we did fly I couldn’t take any of my crochet stuff because of the scissors being a safety concern and the medal hooks. But when we do drive and I can take my crochet stuff, I usually just stuff my crochet bag full of yarn I need or can use for a project I plan on making, stuffing, safety eyes but I usually make amigurumi

I made a keyboard case (kind of like a pouch) during a plane ride. Definitely recommend something like that. You can easily freehand it so no fiddling with patterns and can make it as easy or difficult as you want! :two_hearts:
A tube top could also be a good contender~

You can always make a bunch of 2/3 colour or self striping yarn granny squares/hexes which can be used for loads of the above projects as well, bags, cardigan, blanket and loads of other projects!
