I am in the band to, tho I don’t play trumpet I do have a few tips.

  1. When you play the 1 and 3 valve there is a thing on your trumpet you need to move every so slightly to get your trumpet in tune (you don’t have to do this when playing fast)
  2. Put your finger of top of the pinky ring and not in it
  3. There is a button on the front of your trumpet that you can puss to release the spit from your trumpet if it sounds scratchy or crackly.

I reccomend buzzing in your mouthpeice before playing a song or just to warm up! good luck!
