Don’t be too harsh.
We have a lot of persons that English is not their first language and things get lost in translation. They may not realize they are coming across as threatening.
And as stated in previous comments, this is common on other platforms.
My intention for this post was to encourage anyone that was feeling bullied in private messages to report it, not to gather the pitchforks and storm the castle.

Huge probs to you for owning up to your mistake and correcting it! 
I think this is a great example on how we can learn through our mistakes and correcting somebody doesn’t have to be something negative 
And I’m also very happy on how you handled this situation not everyone would react the same way you did
