I’ve bent my metal crochet hooks before because apparently I take my stress out via my hands. It’s why I’ve never bothered trying a plastic hook. I’d probably snap it in the first few weeks

I’ve almost broken a metal hook I think I should be more careful- I mayyy or may not start crashing out at my crochet hook when it doesn’t go through a stitch-

Careful what kind of glue you use. Certain superglue will eat away at plastic.

If you’re emotionally attached to that particular hook (I have NO room to judge there. My 3mm hook and I have spent many a long night together:sweat_smile::rofl:) try looking up what kind of glue the Master Builders use at Lego to secure their builds. I’ve heard it actually fuses the plastic together, instead of just being an adhesive:thinking:

Oh no, this hurts to even look at! :sob::sob: Losing a trusty hook right in the middle of a project is a true heartbreak. Rest in peace to your hook! Hope you have a backup nearby so you don’t have to stop stitching! :broken_heart:

No judgement, but how do people actually use plastic hooks??

I crossed the Clover Amour bridge Christmas before last and can’t go back, but even before that I could never do the plastic hooks.

Was I just trying bad ones? My experience with plastic hooks has always been constant snags, not hooking the yarn quite right, and just generally feeling awful to use. It’s probably just me, tho

Again, no judgement to plastic hook users! We’ve all got our preferences! I’m just wondering if I’m the problem, or if there’s an actual learning curve with plastic
