Hi everyone! I was just wondering if there are any other yarns that are good for making the reusable water balloons? The patterns that I have looked up seem to all call for the super bulky Bernat Blanket yarn…are there any bulky or aran weight ones that would produce the same or similar “splat”? Thanks!

Not safely. Most will hurt. I would only recommend Bernat Blanket yarn.

That’s a 6 or 7 weight yarn. I don’t know any 4 weights but premier parfait chunky is really thin and it says it’s a 6 but i’d consider it a 4 or 5.

I use the bernat blanket yarn, but not the extra bulky. I have some that have been used for a few years and are still going. The kids love them more than the rubber ones.
