As someone who has purchased a dog portrait from an artist, they’re definitely good enough to sell! I know it’s good practice to ask others opinions but I think with your talent you should have more confidence in your abilities and just go for it next time when you have something similar you’re considering!

I wouldn %100 pay for these of my pup! You said completely honest feedback, so the only think I noticed was that the cocker spaniels eyes were a little human looking and it through me off haha, but other than that these are awesome dude!

As another watercolor/gouache artist, you could definitely sell these!! Make sure to charge a fair price for your time, materials, skill, etc.! And you could probably premake some for breeds that only come in like one or two accepted in standard colors, such as Bernese mountain dogs and giant schnauzers!

Commissions are definitely a smart idea for pet related stuff and people usually LOVE it ! When you’re able to I’d recommend getting a white gouache or masking fluid or something so you can add or preserve the lightest white value in the portrait.
