Wednesday WIPs!

I know it’s later in the evening on Wednesday (so if you’re seeing this/posting on Thursday that’s cool too!), but what’s on everyone’s hooks/needles? Please remember to credit your pattern’s designer and the pattern name in case others want to find it!

This is my current project/design that I’m working up!

Beautiful! Is that inspired by the feast of the Immaculate Conception by chance?

I am currently working on designing a little mouse doll for my niece’s Christmas present. She’s inspired by the Sophie Mouse book series

It is! I worked on the graph on Sunday and the simple version, then I wanted to add the 12 stars and color changes and make a pillow.

Your mouse is super cute! That face shape and ears are perfect and adorable!

Thank you! :orange_heart:

The star design looks so delicate and pretty! It will make a lovely pillow

The star took a few tries since mosaic requires drop downs, and changes the color every row.

Wow! How did you get the details so intricate?!

I’m not sure if you’re asking me, or Hobbitsy

If you’re asking me, I just kind of combined my knowledge of tapestry crochet and mosaic. Mosaic gives more crisp designs, but tapestry is generally the go-to for lots of color work since mosaic’s rule of thumb is traditionally to only use 2 colors and alternate between them every row.

I just kinda mooshed them together because I wanted to use more colors, with the definition overlay mosaic gives :joy: So right now I’m working on where best to do the color changes on each row so they don’t show through weirdly.

I miss wip Wednesdays! We used to have a dedicated thread to come back to every week, this was years ago though :smiling_face_with_tear:

The tapestries look so nice and clean! It’s pretty impressive your combining techniques to get that! Looks great!

Im currently working on a test, and some fingerless gloves for Christmas gifts :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: we’ll pretend there aren’t abandoned wips sitting in a bag under my desk lol

I love those eyes! I also really like painting my eyes, but I have to contend with cat fur

I love doing WIP Wednesdays and was actually thinking it’d be awesome to have it weekly. I love seeing what everyone is working on! Plus I mean, I wanted to include the knitters if they care to join us hookers

I’m not even going to shame myself with how many WIPs I have waiting in the wings as well.

My dogs stay away from the office for the most part so it all gets done there to be safe lol

We only have a 1 bedroom apartment at the moment, so there’s nowhere for me to hide from the cats  Hopefully houses or more than 1br will become affordable again some day :folded_hands:

 Wow looks amazing!!! I’m currently working on a snake and a chicken

Sorry I haven’t posted a pattern in a while  December is waaaaaay too busy

His mouth opens, and has teeth as well. Haha. But the pattern needs a bit more refining still
