what are your crochet (and knitting and sewing etc.) related secrets? šŸ¤”

I’ve never made a bee, leggy frog, basic octo, jellyfish, dino, etc,
I’ve never crocheted a wearable (except for a poorly consturcted headband, but it was so bad idk if I can count it :sob:
I’ve never crocheted a blanket
I’ve never actually gone IRL yarn shopping because al of the yarn I have are like donations exept for chenille yarn lmao

where i live shopping online is much cheaper!! (in store, a 100g of chenille is 7.5 USD but online its 3 USD for the same, if not better, quality :))
Plus, the only yarn they sell alot of is like mohair or wool yarn, there isnt much acrylic like red heart

The only wearable I’ve made is

By @HookedByMarilyn , and I admit it was only for the green wearables challenge and a bit of a cop-out because… well, scrunchie, but I really wanted to try one of Marilyn’s patterns. It had the benefit of being the only green thing my daughter wore to school on St. Patty’s Day, so it saved her from pinches!

scrunchies make me go CRAZY!!! but that’s adorable :) I bet i would have worn that when I was a kid :D

Me either. Although I did just order more I Love This Cotton for a top I want to make for myself.
My sister told me once I have more than Walmart. And then she gave me hers (a lot more).
I hope to get it all into my stash this year. Project in itself.
I am making blankets / baskets to use up bulky yarn so I have tubs to put the rest in …

I wish my stash was as big as Walmart !!!

yay!! the only sad thing is i really need to stop testing YUTYCRTX BUT you are one of the few (i think there’s only 2 lol) people that i prioritize testing for (like priority testing, but backwards!!) :D
and that’s so real and also hilarious :joy: i basically forbid myself from testing - except wearables if there’s at least a month, or backwards priority testing, or if it’s adorable and tiny… so basically like half the stuff. sigh. but it’s ok :D

I create patterns for stuff I need or want myself. Then I sell it because it turned out well. Ha. And, if it doesn’t sell, it’s mine, so no loss. I quit making project bags for that reason. Might try again now though.

I love being tagged. :)
I need to make something of yours (preferably with my off hand) so I then can tag you in everything. Just need to finish the tests I’m on, work up my pattern, and about 20 other things… Where is Hermione’s time turner thing when I need it?

I’ll definitely go check that out!
