What are your guys’ crochet/knitting Icks?

Hello, fello wonderful people!! I have a question.

What are your crochet icks?

I have quite a few, ngl, so why don’t we share them!!

  1. my hair getting caught in the stitches.

Anyone with LONG (why’d it say king :sob:) hair can relate. You go back to make sure you didn’t skip a stitch and ur Plushie looks like big foot :sob::joy::squinting_face_with_tongue:

  1. when my crochet hook squeaks

Rghhhh it sounds like nails on a chalkboard  solution though: it’s kinda weird but rub ur hook on ur scalp it works :D.

  1. when your stitch marker falls out and you don’t notiiicceee

ARGH where did I leave off?!?! Now I have to do crochet math to figure it out

Anyways, what are your guys’ crochet/knitting icks?

If you have uneven stitches, flip the project inside out

The hair one is soooo real. I hate when I stuff something, and when I try to crochet the last row(s) the stuffing gets caught in my yarn (similarly like the hair).
Another one is when I run out of yarn in the middle of a bigger project and when I try to buy the same colour, it’s always a little different shade:sob:
And the last one is whenever I’m working with chenille/blanket fluffy yarn, it sheds everywhere

  1. Factory knots
    • just why. It ruins like the whole vibe of the project.
  2. The Hook Squeak
    • This. Is. The. Single. Worst. Sound. Ever.
  3. When you’ve been using yarn from both the center and outside and it turns into a messy yarn vomit.
    • I don’t have to explain

Yeah look I live with 2 cats. All my crochet pieces come with free cat hair. :joy_cat:

I agree with the above comment about factory knots in the yarn, I absolutely hate that with all my heart

I also hate when you buy a yarn on special for cheap!! … only to realise later when you’ve lost yarn chicken that it was cheap because it was clearance and it’s now gone and never coming back so now you have to pick a substitute yarn and frog the entire thing to redo it with the new yarn :upside_down_face:

1 When I put the yarn on the floor, or it falls on the floor and gets a bunch of dog hair in it  :squinting_face_with_tongue:

2 When I make something in hdc and then start a project using sc and keep yarning over on accident :expressionless_face:

3 when I’m so used to putting 6sc into a magic ring that I don’t notice the pattern said 8 untill halfway through  :grimacing:

If you don’t like the factory knots, you can just cut the yarn and re-attach it the same way you do for a color change :slightly_smiling_face:

if you mess everything up while sewing, eventhough you crocheted everything perfectly even

chenille that snaps way too easily… and when it doesn’t snap, it sheds then I don’t have anything to hold to close the magic ring… :skull:
