What do I do?!?

Guys!! Joann’s is officially closing all stores in the area I live in! And guess what? All of the yarn I own is Big Twist Value!! I honestly don’t know what to do, and have come to you all to ask for help. What other yarn brands should I look for? What other craft stores should I go to? The Michael’s right next to my house sucks with yarn, but I can go give it a try. It’s very sad :pensive:

Of you cant find any good craft stores near you
You could always resort to Amazon :upside_down_face:

Ive had issues with that yarn breaking apart- like the fluffy bits just kinda come off the actual string but if you aren’t like using it for adding details it’s fine

I’m talking about this one.

I assume you’re talking about sweet snuggles or chenille home slim?
The fluff shedding and coming off is an issue that happens with all plush chenille yarn

You can still order online so you can still get your favorite yarn!

UPDATE!!!

My mom just went to Joann’s and came back with a FULL CARTS worth of yarn! She’s also planning to order yarn they didn’t have in stock! The website will also be shutting down in case anyone was wondering, so we must act quickly!! Hopefully this yarn will last me for a very long time!:crossed_fingers:

Thanks for all the advice y’all! :two_hearts:

Same. I use Big Twist for my large blankets. The yarn at Michael’s (and we only have one, the rest of those have closed) are terrible. I use Hobbii, WEBS, or Lovecrafts for other yarns, but I have blankets to finish!

i know everyone usually hates on hobby lobby, but that’s where I go. I am a ā€œtouchā€ type person so I like to feel the yarn before I buy. I don’t remember the name but I think its their brand and its nice. Plus it goes on sale every other week. I also keep an eye out on clearance cause it usually happens twice a year. Sometimes I use the cotton yarn from dollar tree and it has done well. I don’t use their velvet anymore because it does tend to break. Also originally my Joanns thats an hour away was going to be still open but now I am reading that they changed their minds. I have never bought yarn there, but I loved their fabric selection. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I have visited Hobby Lobby once and came back with some chunky yarn for a baby smuggler I was gonna make. It was very cheap (about 7 dollars for two skeins) and it was very good quality. Have been looking into their ā€œI love this yarnā€ yarn. Might go to it in the future!
