What is a foundation chain…

  • Where you chain two and work into the first chain
  • Or if im wrong can someone explain what that is in the replies or dm me

a foundation ch is basically a strip of ch you st off of to make something

I think it depends too. There’s a foundation chain that’s just the set of chains to start. But you can have a foundation sc/dc/etc chain as well where you are working your chain and your first row of stitches at the same time. They’re super useful if you have tension issues with a standard chain but they’re difficult to explain. There’s videos that help but even then I have to refer back to them sometimes cause I don’t use it often
