That depends! Are seperating the floss into strands, or are you leaving it as one solid piece? What stitches are you using?

Ive done a few works with embroidery floss and i found a 2mm works fine if you aren’t seperating it into 6 strands. but then again i have a tight tension :person_shrugging:

If you’re seperating, try a 1.25-1.75. You may even have to go down to a 1mm. It depends on your tension i’d say.

Hmmm I wonder if you could do something a bit different instead like tacking down the thread to a washable surface (tacky glue would work I think) in the shapes you want (use glue sparingly) then doing small stitches on the same color along the thread to secure it. An alternative to that, and what gave me the idea, is making chains (or I cords if you knit or have an I cord machine) and glueing and/or stitching them down in the pattern you want, since this has traditionally been done in Celtic knot-work (see pic below).

Also, I don’t know if you don’t have any money to spend but I Don’t think you’d have to custom order much there:

I don’t see a picture dear.

I used to embroider, the learning curve for embroidery is less intense and shorter compared to crochet.

That’s weird it must’ve not registered that I added one lol it’s fixed now
