What to do

I made an oval using AI assistance, but I don’t know what to do. It was originally to be a back of a back of a teddy bear I I was designing ,but Ribblr and Ravelry don’t like Ai so what do you guys suggest I do with it

Only advice I can give is stay away from ai . It’s doing nobody any favours, it’s often wrong too. If I saw a pic that was AI I’d presume the pattern was written by it as well . And a lot of others won’t touch them. Even if you use it to enhance your photos it’s putting people off .

Sorry if I’ve misunderstood your question but avoid using it if you can , a lot of good platforms won’t allow it

Like I said in craft chat when you asked this question, “Scrap it and try to do it yourself without Ai assistance.” There is no room for Ai in any craft community. There’s plenty of ways to go about designing (drawing, sketches, diagrams, simply writing things down as you do them through trial and error, etc). If you need Ai, then don’t design patterns.

My advice is to not use Ai to create patterns. It’s better to design patterns by hand and AI can make a lot of mistakes. The reason why Ribblr and other crochet platforms don’t support AI, is beacuase it doesn’t know how to crochet or design patterns properly, and crafters deserve patterns that are actually tested, accurate, and made by real human hands. :sparkling_heart:

Absolutely.. the bad part is that a lot of designers I used to buy from are using it to “enhance” their photos , or add babies in etc . Therefore I won’t buy from them simply because I can’t trust the pattern isn’t ai, even though I’ve purchased off them for years. I was recommended here for that very reason ,a certain platform is full of it atm :sob:. I can spot them but many can’t. I think it’s brilliant that ribblr and ravelry have got tough with this. It needs doing across all platforms

We would like to clarify that patterns created with AI are strictly prohibited on Ribblr. Please refer to our content guidelines.
Using AI-generated content in your shop will result in the permanent closure of your shop.

You can just use internet or watch a video tutorial if you don’t know how to make it and then, crochet by yourself :ribbot-laughing-tight: !

It’s satisfying :grinning_cat_with_smiling_eyes: to crochet with our own design and then watch the result :ribbot-cheeky-wink-tight: !

I wish Etsy would crack down on AI images and clearly fake posts that aren’t hand-made when they say there are. There are just too many to flag as a customer. It’s frustrating to look for hand-made dog sweater and you get some AI generated images for 2 pages before you even get a real sweater.

Sad, really.

There are some good dog coat / sweater designers out there.but totally agree with you . It’s good you can spot them , many can’t
