Ok- so you might have heard already, but I’m getting a cat! I don’t know yet if it’ll be a kitten or adult, but I want to crochet some things for it!
I’ve already made a little goldfish amigurumi and a mouse amigurumi for toys, and I think I might make one of those cat beds/hidey hole things!
generally, I don’t think cats enjoy wearing costumes, so I don’t want to make a costume for it only for it to not like it, so preferably less of those please <3

just a head’s up, crochet cat toys can be a choking hazard :3 cats could potentially unravel the toy and swallow it or choke on it.
they can be ok when under supervision only.
If you get a kitten, you can “train” it to like or tolerate wearing things like vests, hats and socks! It’ll be harder with an adult, but I think, depending, it’s still possible! Personally I’ve always wanted to make hats for my pets, but my dogs don’t like hats soooo. There’s a really cute frog cat hat on ribblr Im pretty sure, so maybe that? Or cute collars will be simple, diverse, and fun! (As long as THEYRE not too tight, too loose, and you’re careful while it’s being worn!
i suggest no clothes. cats have hairs on their back that tell them if they’re under something so they can slither under it. any clothes/vests will activate that, and it’ll be pretty awkward. same for shoes. cats and dogs have pads that tell them if they’re stepping on something, and it can be a safety hazard if they constantly — even when lifting a leg — feel like they’re feet is on the ground. my suggestion would be a cat bed! i saw one on here.
Maybe a hat? I don’t recommend giving them crochet toys, the fibers could get in their intestines!
Okay so
As other people said, cats and other animals have senses we don’t which get triggered by certain things. Cats whiskers and back hairs are especially sensitve to senses
A lil strawberry hat or collar!!!
